Former Chief Justice Derek Green has been appointed to undertake an independent review of the Citizen’s Rep’s report into alleged harassment and bullying in the Chief Electoral Office.
Chief Electoral Officer Bruce Chaulk was suspended with pay pending the outcome of the review.
Justice Green’s review will consist of an analysis of the report based on the evidence and findings and will not be a re-investigation. Justice Green will provide recommendations as to whether or not any actions taken are appropriate and whether any further investigations are required.
The Citizen’s Rep’s report into allegations of harassment and bullying at the Chief Electoral Office first came to light when questions about its existence were raised in the House of Assembly in May, months after it had been submitted to the Speaker’s Office.
