The Western NL Food Hub is on hiatus.

The hub, launched by Food First NL in 2021, allows people to place an order every week from a list of about 20 local producers. The food is then packaged, and people can pick it up in-store.

However, due to a lack of sustainable resources, the project is unable to run for a second season this year and has been placed on hiatus.

Food First NL says the project was received positively in its pilot year, and they are in the midst of promising discussions around long-term resources.

They are aiming to be back in 2023 with multi-year resourcing.
