Corner Brook’s Jigs and Wheels summer festival kicks off today.
The streets are open to ATV use and various events based around food, music, and the outdoors are taking place.
Corner Brook Mayor Jim Parsons says one of the key attractions this year is an ATV-based scavenger hunt organized by the hospital foundation and the Snow Riders. It’s called Ride and Seek.
Parsons says appealing to ATV riders has done wonders for tourism in the city.
He says this opens up another way for tourism operators to get business. He says riders coming in bring a lot of money into town, with hundreds of room nights booked at hotels.
