A proposed wind power and hydrogen generation plant has been asked to submit an environmental impact statement on the proposed Port au Port-Stephenville project.

The Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Bernard Davis, has advised the proponent that an environmental impact statement is needed for the proposed project from World Energy GH2 Inc.

More information on the potential effects on animals and plants in the area is needed, as well as confirmation of the final locations of wind turbines, worker accommodations, access roads, and power lines.
