The Bay d’Espoir highway will remain open for the time being.
Government says while the next decision will be made tomorrow morning, fires are unpredictable and residents are encouraged to stay up-to-date on current conditions.
Forest resource roads along the highway remain closed and cabin owners should not enter the area.
If any cabin owners are in the area, they are asked to vacate immediately as they are putting their lives, and the lives of first responders, at risk.
