A Newfoundlander is set to throw out the first pitch at a Toronto Blue Jays game today.
Jaida Lee made history as the first female to ever play in a men’s baseball game at the Canada Summer Games, retiring three batters in a row in her inning of relief.
Lee is being honoured at today’s Jays game as they take on the Cleveland Guardians when she’ll take the mound to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
