The remainder of athletes with Team Newfoundland and Labrador return to St. John’s today from the Canada Games in Ontario.
The 124 athletes, 18 coaches, 14 support staff, and 11 mission staff are scheduled to touch down at St. John’s International Airport at 2:45 p.m.
Cori Hicks, a 20-year-old multi-sport para-athlete, earned a silver medal in the 400-metre female wheelchair race, the province’s only medal during the second week of competition, which gives NL a total of nine overall.
The public is invited to join Team NL family and friends in welcoming home the week-two athletes who competed in athletics, road cycling, diving, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, and volleyball.
