Multiple emergency rooms in the province—one in Eastern Health and two in Central Health—will be closed throughout the long weekend due to the physician shortage.

The US Memorial Health Centre in St. Lawrence will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. today through to 8 a.m. on Monday.

The Green Bay Health Centre in Springdale will also be closed for a portion of the long weekend. The closure begins today at 8 a.m. and will continue until 8 a.m. on Sunday.

Meanwhile, ER services at the Dr. YK Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre in New-Wes-Valley will be closed through the long weekend from now until 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.

If in need of emergency services during these times, patients in St. Lawrence can proceed to the clinic in Grand Bank or the Burin Peninsula Health Centre, while those in central can go to the emergency room in Grand Falls- Windsor or Gander.
