Twillingate RCMP are investigating a case of arson that destroyed an abandoned home and caught fire to an adjoining field in the community of Bayview.

Police say the call first came in around 3:30 on the morning of Friday, September 9th.

The Twillingate Fire Department was able to contain and extinguish the blaze before it caused significant damage.

An investigation determined that the fire was intentionally set.

The same location was subjected to arson on September 11th the year earlier.

Anyone with information on the incident or who may have noticed suspicious behavior in the area is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
