A 56-year-old man is facing impaired driving charges following a single-vehicle crash in Dunville on the weekend.

Placentia RCMP found the abandoned vehicle around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, but located the driver a short time later at a local home.

Police say the man showed signs of impairment and he was arrested and brought to the detachment where they say he blew two-and-a-half times the legal limit.

His vehicle was seized and impounded and his licence was suspended.

He was released to appear in court at a later date.
