Two men had to be rescued from their home on Forest Avenue in Mount Pearl when the house was inundated with flood water.
Neighbour Violet White says the two men had to be removed by the St. John’s Regional Fire Department.
White says the area is prone to flooding and she and her neighbours always come down to check on the two residents.
She says that area of Mount Pearl near the Waterford River has seen flooding in the past.
White can remember her father helped to get people out of houses in the same general area years ago.
