Justice Minister John Hogan has appointed Judge Robin Fowler as the Chief Judge of the provincial court.
Fowler replaces former Chief Judge Pamela Goulding, who has concluded her sever-year term.
He was called to the bar in 2000, and his work since that time includes working with the provincial Crown Attorney’s office, including the special prosecutions office, for 13 years.
According to government, Fowler has demonstrated an understanding and awareness of Indigenous issues during his time as a judge, including justice-related activities in Miawpukek First Nation.
He also has extensive experience working on complex files across all levels of court across the province.
