The House of Assembly will resume sitting for the fall session in historic fashion this week.
Lieutenant Governor Judy Foote will prorogue, or discontinue the current session on Monday morning at Confederation Building.
The House will then adjourn until Wednesday afternoon, when Her Honour will formally open the new session with the Speech From the Throne from the province’s first legislature, at the renovated Colonial Building.
That will be by invitation only, but there will be limited access to the public gallery — first come first served — on Thursday when the House will continue with routine business at the historic structure.
The House will resume its regular sitting schedule at Confederation Building on Tuesday, October 11, following the Thanksgiving holiday.
Proceedings at Confederation Building and Colonial Building will be live-streamed on the House of Assembly broadcast channel and website.
