Two St. John’s men have been arrested and charged in connection with a string of residential break-ins in Bay Bulls and Witless Bay on the weekend.
Twenty-three-year-old Jason Anthony and 21-year-old Scott Conway were arrested on Saturday, October 1 after a series of break-ins early that same morning.
Police are investigating five separate crime scenes where the pair allegedly broke in and stole various items, including three vehicles.
Jason Anthony is charged with:
· Break and Enter
· Mischief under $5000.00 (property damage)
· Theft of a motor vehicle
· Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
· Prohibited operation of a motor vehicle
· Possession of property obtained by crime
· Resisting arrest
· Breach of probation
Scott Conway is charged with:
· Break and Enter
· Mischief under $5000.00 (property damage)
· Theft of a motor vehicle
· Possession of property obtained by crime
· Possession of break-in instruments
· Breach of probation
The pair were remanded to custody over the weekend pending a court appearance earlier today.
