Thanksgiving is a Shops Closing Day in Newfoundland and Labrador which means most businesses, schools and municipal and provincial government offices are closed for the day.

There will be no garbage or recycling collection in the capital city today. Garbage that should have been picked up today will be picked up tomorrow along with the garbage regularly scheduled for Tuesday.

The Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility is closed for both residential and commercial users.

Paid parking regulations will not be enforced.
