It was a harrowing Saturday for the crew of a fishing boat off the Avalon Peninsula when their vessel began taking on water.
They were rescued but the FV High Roller III ended up smashing against the rocks at Bay de Verde.
The Coast Guard got the men off the boat before that. There’s no information as to what caused the vessel to begin taking on water.
