The City of St. John’s is planning to welcome an increased number of cruise ships in 2023 following a successful 2022 season.
Twenty-six cruise ships visited the capital city between June and October of this year, bringing in an estimated $8.1 million.
With a successful season in the books, councillor Debbie Hanlon says the cruise industry in St. John’s is set to grow next year.
So far, 32 ships are scheduled to arrive. Hanlon says the cruise season will be starting earlier with the first ship scheduled to arrive in April 2023.
