A 12-year-old from Portugal Cove is giving back to the community through his skate sharpening business.
Jaxson Bradbury saved up $1,200 of his allowance and purchased his own equipment to sharpen skates and then opened his own business ‘Jax’s Skate Sharpening’.
Bradbury says he started his business so people wouldn’t have to travel to get their skates sharpened.
After opening his business, he decided to donate $100 of his earnings to the Kids Eat Smart Foundation.
He chose that specific cause as his younger sister at Beachy Cove Elementary loves the breakfast program offered at the school.
Those looking to have their skates sharpened by Jaxson can book an appointment by texting 709-727-6710.
He’s a hockey player, entrepreneur, skate sharpener and someone who likes to give back.
