Today is a provincial holiday in Newfoundland and Labrador.

While provincial and municipal government offices are closed, federal government offices, stores and banks are all open.

The House of Assembly is not sitting today.

Check with your local municipality for information on garbage collection and whether or not municipal recreational facilities are open.

St. John’s Closures

City facilities in St. John’s will be closed today to observe the St. Patrick’s Day holiday.

It is not a shops closing holiday, meaning paid parking regulations will remain in effect.

Robin Hood Bay will only be open to commercial users.

City-owned facilities will be closed, but the Loop, as well as park washrooms will remain open.

The regular council meeting usually scheduled for Monday afternoons will be pushed to tomorrow at 3:00 p.m.
