The RNC have provided an update to the investigation into a shooting in Torbay on the weekend that sent a 40-year-old man to hospital with serious injuries.

Police were called to reports of a disturbance in the area near Foodland around 11:30 Saturday night.

They found a man with a gunshot wound, who was rushed to hospital for treatment.

Fifty-year-old David Reardon of Torbay was arrested on Sunday and is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and a number of weapons offences.

He was held to appear in court.
