The provincial government has expanded access to a number of blood thinners through the prescription drug program retroactive to March 1.
Health Minister Tom Osborne made the announcement during member statements in the House of Assembly this afternoon.
Osborne says several anti-coagulants, have been expanded to open benefits including Apixaban, Rivoroxaban and Edoxaban. He says changing those drugs to open benefits allows for easier access for patients taking those medications.
