A new report from CAA Atlantic suggest some electric vehicle owners may reconsider purchasing another EV in the future due to lack of public charging stations.
Over 800 Atlantic Canadian EV drivers surveyed say their biggest concern is access to public charging stations.
According to TakeChargeNL, there are more than 120 charging stations located across the province at gas stations, community centres and businesses.
67 per cent still own a gas vehicle that they are more likely to use on a long road trip, while a minority of respondents lack complete confidence in an EV’s ability to travel long distances.
Despite that, over 90 per cent of drivers are satisfied with their vehicle and believe the electric model has helped them save a significant amount of money.
