As many struggle with the rising cost of living, two local women have launched a Facebook group to help members save a few bucks.
Over 120,000 people have joined the ‘I Dies for Deals’ Facebook group, run by administrators Lena Frampton and Alana Doucette.
The group started after Doucette was looking to save a few bucks herself through couponing. With no retail outlets accepting coupons during the pandemic, she decided to try and save money by shopping online.
People in the province and across the country started turning to the group for numerous posts on where to find the best deals.
The two friends scour the internet and compare prices of products and determine if the sale is in fact a good deal.
Frampton says the number one item people are looking to save on are groceries.
Deals on Carnation Milk were the most popular posts, along with other food items and household items such as laundry detergent.
