It’s the day the federal budget comes down and all indications point to some credits to help people cope with the rising cost of living, including the price of food.
Measures to encourage development of clean energy and technology are also expected.
Charlene Johnson, CEO of Energy NL and who is in Ottawa for the budget lockup, says incentive programs for all types of energy projects are key.
Energy NL will be looking for investment tax credits for wind and hydrogen and tax credits for carbon capture.
The budget comes down starting at about 5:30 NDT. Provincial government officials will give their response tomorrow at Confederation Building. VOCM News will be there.
