Immigration Minister Gerry Byrne says job offers are already on the table for a number of Ukrainian workers who participated in recent job fairs on the province’s west coast.
The province and the Association for New Canadians led the series of job fairs in places like Corner Brook, Deer Lake and Stephenville to match skilled workers with job openings.
Byrne says the effort has been proven successful thus far.
He says job offers are on the table, while Ukrainian workers go back to their families to evaluate their next course of action.
