The Foster Families Association of Newfoundland and Labrador has launched a new video highlighting the need for more foster homes across the province.
Lori Petersen says they have approximately 600 foster families in the province, but they need a lot more.
She says they also need respite homes to allow existing foster families a break from time to time.
Petersen says while all parts of the province require more foster homes, Labrador continues to be a challenge.
She says they work closely with the Nunatsiavut Government and the Innu Nation who indicate there is capacity in the community.
Petersen is encouraging anyone interested to register for a virtual information session scheduled for this evening. Email lori@fosterfamiliesnl.ca or call 754-0213 to be provided with a link to the virtual session.
