First Light is partnering with BGC St. John’s for a new program to promote inclusion of black, indigenous and youth of colour.

The four-year initiative called Shared Spaces will look to address issues such as poverty, health and social isolation through school programs, summer camps and other recreational projects.

A Pan Provincial BIPOC Youth Council will be formed through the initiative. Youth between the ages of 15-18 are encouraged to join the council and represent their diverse communities.
