The newly announced wage grid for early childhood educators in the province appears to have sparked more interest in post-secondary training programs.
According to the College of the North Atlantic, they did see a “higher-than-average increase” in applications for the Fall 2023 ECE program immediately following the wage subsidy announcement late last month.
They note that the flood of applications has since levelled off, and it isn’t unusual to see fluctuation in applications received for any of their programs throughout the year.
