A pair of health care facilities have their hours impacted by staffing shortages this week.
The U.S. Memorial Health Centre ER in St. Lawrence will be closed for the entire week, reopening at 8:00 a.m. April 24.
Meanwhile, until more staff can be recruited, urgent care services at the Dr. William H. Newhook Community Health Centre in Whitbourne will only be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Urgent care will be open for service on Monday, April 17, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Anyone requiring emergency care is asked to go to the nearest open emergency department.
