Two people are facing drug charges following a recent traffic stop and search on the province’s west coast.
Twenty-one-year-old Keira Furey and 41-year-year-old Owen Barnes were charged on Friday, April 14.
The RCMP-RNC Joint Forces Operation West says the initial traffic stop led to the search of a Corner Brook home. Items seized include a quantity of cash, cocaine, illicit pills, contraband tobacco and items police say are consistent with drug trafficking.

Both accused are facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine.
Furey was released to appear in court at a later date. Barnes meanwhile, who police say has a history of arrests and multiple drug charges, has been remanded to custody pending a court appearance today.
The investigation continues.
