The deputy mayor of Holyrood believes a the newly announced public transit system will help attract more people to live in the area.
The feds are putting up $482,000 to establish a green transit system in the town.
Two zero emission shuttles will be purchased, as well as a charging station and trip booking software.
When asked if the public transit system will attract more people to live in the region, Michelle Woodford answered with an emphatic “absolutely.”
She says the benefits are twofold: It allows current residents the chance to go to neighbouring communities, and it will attract more people to live in the town.
