The FFAW’s Snow Crab Negotiating Committee is developing a counterproposal to the Association of Seafood Producers after harvesters rejected the latest offer made on the weekend.
The committee met this morning to review developments.
The union says the new offer maintained a minimum price of $2.20 a pound, which was the same price set by the price setting panel.

The union says the committee is firm that no movement will be made by harvesters until there is movement in the minimum price.
The FFAW says ensuring inshore harvesters receive a fair share for their catch is “paramount” to the long-term sustainability of the prosperity of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians including plant workers, harvesters and all fishery workers.
