A consumer analyst wouldn’t be surprised if the next movement in gas prices is an upward one.
Dan McTeague, President of Canadians for Affordable Energy, was surprised to see gas increase by only a half cent today. He says prices across the country have risen over the past week or two.

The price is nowhere near what it was this time last year when we were paying over $2.00 per litre, but McTeague suspects the cost in Newfoundland and Labrador will go up over the next few days.
He believes the Public Utilities Board will correct the small increase by adding two or three cents a litre to follow the trend across the country.
