A 42-year-old Badger’s Quay man has been arrested and charged following an early morning disturbance at a home in the capital city’s downtown.

RNC were called to the area around 3:10 where they were informed that a man had assaulted a woman and ran from the scene.

Police say the woman suffered minor injuries as a result.

A police dog was used to track the suspect who was found hiding under the deck of a nearby home. He was arrested without incident.

The accused is now facing charges of assault, property damage and failure to comply with a release order. He was held in custody pending a court appearance.
