Artificial Intelligence is becoming more prevalent in our daily lives, but a new survey conducted by Narrative Research shows a general lack of understanding of AI and the increasing variety of ways we’re interacting with it.
The CEO of Narrative Research, Margaret Brigley says AI is becoming increasingly common in everyday life, whether it be through social media, communications, healthcare, transportation and the apps we use.

The latest survey found that six in ten Canadians reported some familiarity with artificial intelligence and is highest among those between the ages of 18 and 24.
However Brigley says, the survey result shows most Canadians are unaware whether they have been in contact with, or have used an AI app. She says only 38 per cent of those asked said they have had contact or interaction with AI, the reality is nearly everyone is affected by AI on a daily basis.
That includes anyone who has used a smart phone, has searched the internet, spent time on social media, bought products online, or used a navigation tool like GPS.
Brigley says their survey also explored regulation of AI services and how people feel about the used of AI, the results of which will be released later this week.
