Experts say gas prices are rising heading into the long weekend that kicks off summer driving season.
There was a small increase in the price of most fuels in Newfoundland and Labrador this week, but Dan McTeague, President of Canadians for Affordable Energy, says we’ll be taking another hit once the summer driving season in the United States launches next weekend.
It depends on what demand looks like but we could be looking at a 3, 4 or even a 5-cent increase, says McTeague. He acknowledges, though, that it’s too early to tell for certain.
