Admissions officer with the MUN’s Faculty of Medicine Lisa Breen says there are a lot of myths around becoming a doctor.
She says while it is challenging to get into medical school, it is not as hard as many people think it is. She says applicants don’t need straight A’s or international volunteering experience, but many prospective applicants are under that impression. She hopes the talk will break down barriers.
The session on the Doctor of Medicine Program goes tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. Those interested can register by emailing munmed@mun.ca.
