A 36-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with a number of serious offences following the search of a home in Dunville, Placentia.
RCMP searched the property as part of an investigation into a violent assault earlier this month. One person was assaulted by a number of people, prompting police to get a warrant for a search of the residence for weapons.
Police from Placentia and Whitbourne detachments entered the home Wednesday afternoon and arrested Felicia Foley and two other people.
An additional warrant was obtained under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and was executed later that evening.
A number of weapons, suspected cocaine, crack cocaine and cash were seized from the home, as well drug paraphernalia and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
Foley is facing charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
RCMP say the two others arrested at the scene were released and are set to appear in court at a later date on charges stemming from the assault investigation.
