A Spaniard’s Bay family escaped unharmed from a house fire last Thursday thanks to the efforts of a good Samaritan passing by.
Bay Roberts RCMP were first notified of the blaze just after 6:30 a.m.
A person passing by noticed smoke coming from the home, and entered the house to notify the people inside.
Thanks to those efforts, a woman and her family escaped from the burning building without injury.
The home was completely destroyed by the fire.
Now, police are looking to identify the person who helped the family to recognize their “efforts and bravery.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP.
