An adventure retracing the journey taken by iconic Canadian author Farley Mowat off the south coast of Newfoundland in the 1960s is now available for viewing.
Filmmaker Martine Blue and her husband Isaac have been documenting their sailing trip along the province’s south coast in the series Floating After Farley.
Blue says the series was picked up for a second season which is now available on Bell Fibe TV1.
She says they’re retracing the five year journey taken by Farley Mowat and his wife Claire on board the Happy Adventure.
Mowat’s adventures a half century ago were documented in a number of books including The Boat Who Wouldn’t Float and Bay of Spirits. Blue says Floating After Farley’s six episode second season begins with the damage caused by Hurricane Larry and ends with the most recent resettlement vote in Gaultois.
