The provincial government is putting more money on the table for physician recruitment.

Up to $100,000 is available for those practicing on the northeast Avalon, while $150,000 is available for doctors who sign on to practice in rural areas of the province.

Full bonuses will be available to those who agree to five years of full-time practice, with an additional $25,000 added on for physicians working in positions “difficult-to-fill.”

Those eligible for the incentive are doctors new to practice, new to the province, or new to working with NL Health Services.
