Festivities are well underway as SquidFest continues in the Town of Holyrood.

The annual festival officially kicked off on Wednesday and will continue into today, starting with the 8k Roody Road Race at 8:30 a.m.

The fun continues with this afternoon’s SquidFest Pool Party and MusicSeries at Holy Cross Park, leading up to the big event—the SquidFest Beach Party.

Steve Martin, Holyrood’s Director of Recreation & Community Events, expects hundreds on the festival grounds for the signature event.

He says people are eager to get out and take in music from artists like Nick Earle, Ennis Sisters, Celtic Connection, Shanneyganock, and Rock Revival.

Doors for the Beach Party open at 5:00 p.m. this evening. Tickets and a full list of events can be found at squidfest.ca.
