World Energy GH2 has submitted its plans for two proposed wind farms on the Port au Port Peninsula for environmental assessment.
The company is proposing to construct and operate two onshore wind farms to power a hydrogen/ammonia production facility in Stephenville.
The Department of Environment and Climate Change is invited public comments on the environmental impact statement which outlines the project and provides an overview of the potential environmental effects of all phases of the project. Those interested in making a public comment can email EAProjectComments@gov.nl.ca.
The EIS is available on the department’s website. Printed copies will also be available at public libraries in Bay St. George South, Cape St. Georges, Lourdes, St. George’s, Stephenville, the Codroy Valley and Stephenville Crossing. The deadline for written comments is October 11.
