Police in Labrador City nabbed a drunk driver over the weekend.

Around 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, patrolling officers stopped a speeding driver on Route 500 near the landfill. While speaking with the driver, police noticed signs of alcohol impairment.

The driver provided breath samples over the legal limit and was charged with impaired driving. His vehicle was impounded and his licence was suspended.

He was released to appear in court at a later date.
