A large number of post-secondary students are still without housing as the first day of school rapidly approaches.

That’s according to Holly Halfyard, Business Development for Krown Property Management, who says the current housing market is especially difficult for student tenets.

She says as property managers, they are seeing students struggling to find housing every day.

She says she has never seen the market so tight.

In years past, Halfyard would see one or two prospective tenets looking at a home. Now, they are seeing long lineups of people looking to secure housing.

With the deadline approaching, she says its scary to think these students will not have anywhere to go next week.
