A Newfoundlander has been promoted by a historic NHL franchise.
The New York Rangers have named Ryane Clowe as a Co-Senior Advisor to President and General Manager.
The Fermeuse native is in the third season with the organization after serving as Hockey Ops Advisor since 2022. Clowe spent 10 seasons in the NHL, primarily with the San Jose Sharks.
Clowe was also the first head coach of the Newfoundland Growlers, a position he resigned from in 2019.
