The Eating Disorder Foundation of NL has a number of events coming up, including the Concert of Hope, making its return for the first time since 2018.
Executive Director Paul Thomey says their final bingo for the year set for August 30 at the Jack Byrne Arena, has been moved to Wednesday, Sept 6th due to weather but carries a guaranteed giveaway of over $2,500 in prizes.
September is a busy month with the “Hope Always Remembering Renata Walk” taking place in six locations this year. They include St. John’s, Marystown, Grand Falls-Windsor, Corner Brook, St. Anthony, and Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Thomey says they are really looking forward to the return of the Concert of Hope on Saturday, October 21.
He says it features the Masterless Men and Friends. Thomey states that it’s the first concert since 2018, after holding a dozen or more over the years. Tickets are available at the Arts and Culture Centre box office. He says it’s a busy time as they also have a golf tournament and a 50/50 sweep.
