A woman is dead as the result of a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Botwood this morning.
Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP say the woman, in her 70s, was struck while crossing Water Street around 7:30 this morning.
The woman died at the scene. The incident forced the temporary closure of Water Street while officials attended to the scene. The road has since reopened to traffic.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
