Funds being allocated to people on the southwest coast who are still in the rebuilding process from Hurricane Fiona should start rolling out next month.
That’s according to an update posted to Facebook by the Port aux Basques Town Council.
They say the Fiona Donations Management Committee spent the last two months reviewing applications for assistance.
A total of 257 applications were submitted, ranging from Cape Ray to Burgeo.
They say a framework has been developed to support the committee’s responsibilities, and a target of late September has been set to start allocating the funds.
