Two women in Stephenville have been charged after police say they stole over $2,000 in merchandise from several local businesses.
The RCMP were first called on Tuesday about two women stealing a large amount of merchandise from a local store, the next day police learned that the same duo had stolen items from two other stores in the community.
They were arrested later that afternoon, and have been charged with five counts each of theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property.
They were released to appear in court at a later date.
